A Mencia-dominant, field blend of varietals grown in the area at high altitudes of 700-800m above sea level

Peixe da Estrada translates loosely to the Fish of the Road. It is sourced from a vineyard in the Viana do Bolo area of the Val do Bibei, Galicia. The vineyard sits on a bedrock of granite and quartz at 700-800m above sea level. Jesus and Curro use 100% whole bunches at low temperatures for about 60 days with very little pigeage during ferment. The wine then spends 23 months in old oak barriques.

It is a Mencia-dominant, field blend of all the grapes grown in the region: Mouraton, Bastarda, Grao Negro, Garnacha Tintorera, Godello, Dona Blanca and Palomino.
