Maranones Peña Caballera Garnacha

Peña Caballera is the heart of the Marañones project. The original vines in this spectacular vineyard were planted on a patch of incredibly pure, white granitic sand. Other parcels have been planted around its edges over the years, but nothing is quite like the Caballera site.

The vineyard sits on the edge of the valley of Ardeche and from its summit, you can see spectacular views of the Gredos Mountains.

In wine terms, Pena is both the lightest and most powerful of the Marañones cuvees: delicately scented, with a softly floral and herbal nose, yet the palate has an intense mineral drive and acid line that screams of the Gredos.
