A beautifully granitic introduction to the Albillo varietal.
The word Picarana refers to the small birds that populate the Marañones’ vineyards – and knock off their fair share of each year’s harvest.
Picarana is straight Albillo and a fantastic introduction to the varietal. It’s textural, relatively low in acid and carries gentle aromas of white florals, like honeysuckle and jasmine. There’s freshness to the wine, but no sign of searing acidity; just gently structured and beautifully granitic.
