Lanzarote is like a moonscape on earth, the black ashy soils and the creators in which vines grow are astonishing to see.
Rayco and his team have taken on a huge task working on an island that has multiple active volcanoes. They work with very old vines, tiny parcels and extreme conditions.
The first wines they make are blends of old vines from across the island, Malvasia Volcanica, Listan Blanco and Diego Blanco to name a few of the varieties in this particular wine.
Its tightly wound and citrus driven but with so much complexity from the volcanic soils.
