A fresh and vibrant new wine from Penedes
Gramona founded in 1881 is still under the same family ownership with fifth and sixth generations now looking after the business. From its humble beginnings they have been dedicated to sparkling wine production for over 100 years. This led them to co-founding the Corpinnat DOP in 2014 along with Recaredo, their neighbours.
Gramona lies 30 kms south west of Barcelona in the Alt Penedés, a mediterranean climate and surrounded by the Montserrat mountains to the north. A diverse mix of soils from clay, calcareous to slate help provide a foundation for blending across all their wines.
Farmed with Biodynamic principles for over a decade, they are focused on treating every parcel individually on the land and in the winery.
This cuvee is a blend of 50% Parellada, 30% Macebeo and 20% Xarello made in a Vino Verde/Txakoli style with a slight effervescent.
Wonderfully fresh and energetic, citrus and herbs with a thirst clenching dry finish. Perfect with Seafood or just on the beach!
